About the classes
Mexican cuisine is justifiably famous all over the world. The range of dishes and flavours is quite astonishing and you don’t have to be an expert to be able to make some of the most delicious dishes at home.
But you will need some help and advice — and that’s what we can provide at IH Riviera Maya.
The cooking classes themselves start by demonstrating some of the basics of Mexican cooking — guacamole, fajitas, pico de gallo (tex-mex sauce), quesadillas, molletes, tacos, enchiladas, enfrijoladas, sopes and pambazos — and then we move on to more specialised dishes such as mole, pozole, pipian, tamales and adobo.
We also teach students how to make a delicious flan de cajeta and other typical Mexican desserts.
The cookery classes take place on 2 afternoons per week (usually Tuedays and Thursdays).
